All right, all right, so I haven't updated this editorial in a long time. Well, I'm ready to update it now, baby. It's a very promising time for palmtops. This week, I took apart my 200LX. (Gasp!) (Horrors!) (The fool!) And I broke it. Well, not really. I just broke the hinge. And technically, I didn't even break the hinge itself. I merely made it so the hinge's friction clasp doesn't work anymore. I substituted a piece of an IDE cable and some superglue, which worked decently, but not as well as the original clamp. But, it was worth it. If you want to read more about the internals of the 200LX, visit my Palmtop Adventure page. Notebook Supply Warehouse and Times2 Tech are both working on backlights for the 200LX! Those of you who previously visited this page may recall that I had nothing about Times2 Tech's backlight up. However, I am now convinced that the method they are working on will be superior to the EL panel method. Please, send me mail responding to the four questions posted on my 200LX main page. Really! I'll be happy! I went out to look for very small LEDs to use to light my screen, but even the tiniest LEDs are just too darn big to fit in that small gap. Oh well. There are other ways...sooner or later, we'll figure it out...
