HPLX.NET REVIEWS RadioShack's 1000mA 12V AC Adapter
Publisher/Manufacturer: Radio Shack

This adapter is a cheap, easy-to-find way to power your 200LX from a wall socket. The good points: it puts out 12V; it can handle current draw of up to 1000mA; it has a built-in circuit breaker; it has interchangeable tips in case you want to use it with something else; and it has a long cord, so the potential distance between you and the wall socket is fairly large.
However, there are also numerous downsides. The biggest downside is that the adapter is fairly bulky. Another downside is that the adapter doesn't plug right into the wall; it is a standalone unit, with a plug-in cord coming out of each sides. This makes it more difficult to use, because there is the huge weight of the adapter in the middle of the cord. Another disadvantage is that the plug that goes into your 200LX curves 90° right at the edge. This means that you have a big bulky plug going straight down the side of your 200LX, blocking the serial port and the IR ports. Of course, you can turn it around and move it out of the way, but it's still annoying.
If you don't do much traveling, this AC adapter is a readily available alternative to the HP adapter. If you ever plan to go out of the country, though, or need a lightweight solution, go for the HP adapter.
